After “The Vampire Diaries” Season 7 sad end note, fans are eagerly waiting for the eighth season. Series creator Julie Plec confirmed Nina Dobrev’s return back to the show in the season 8 finale. Ever since viewers are keen to know if she would return as Elena or Katherine. What if Dobrev returns as Katherine?
While most of “The Vampire Diaries” spoilers claim that Nina Dobrev would return for a big “Delena” moment, the most recent buzzes from Design & Trend hints that Dobrev might reprise her role as Katherine and not as Elena.
However, it is yet to see how Dobrev would return back in “The Vampire Diaries Season 8″. But her fans are already excited to hear her possible reunion with actor Ian Somerhalder. Yet, there are several fans who think that Nina’s re-entry into the show was not at all needed at this point.
Non-Delena fans do feel that Dobrev’s exit from the show made it a lot better. If ever she wants to return back, it is better to be back as Katherine than Elena. However, the ratings are speaking some other truth. The continuous drop in viewership ratings following Nina’s exit prove that she played a major role in making the show a big hit.
Meanwhile, fans are speculating on how the series might end at last. As per News Everyday, one theory is that Bonnie might sacrifice her life to save Damon. It would ultimately cause Elena to wake up. Elena would return to use her powers to help Damon and Enzo from the evil monster. The other theory says that Bonnie will remain as such until the end and Dobrev’s entry would be as Katherine beyond expectation.
Well, fans have to wait until Friday, October 21, 2016, 8 p.m to know how the story continues to develop. The CW has scheduled the premiere date for the eighth season. “The Vampire Diaries” airs Season 8 in October. Stay tuned for more updated information.
